i think "pol roger" is my favorite track on this, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite jew songs ever. love the lyrics. the chorus is just perfect.

 

I thought I put that as an alternate with Chubs Are Free (which is a far better option).

so pretty grids was my least favorite at first, and then i went through a period where i really loved it, and now i'm back to thinking it's definitely the weakest track on here. it's good, but everything else is way better imo.

 

I'm not even close to narrowing down my SOTY field yet, haha. So many contenders.

 

Man, going on a walk with this record on an unseasonably warm day with the autumn leaves just the right color and the sun hitting them at just the right angle... it's an experience. This has a fairly good shot of being my AOTY, and I am very okay with that. They really are firing on all cylinders.

Yeah I do! I get mixed up re: who takes the 'crimson and clover' bit on the studio version and who does the rest half the time; Jim sings those six lines live tho, I'm pretty sure!
