comments from someone who saw the band play ~6 new songs at a warm up gig: Most new songs are crunchy guitar mid tempo songs. One song was slow and electronic drum drivin that dropped off into the heaviest I've ever heard them. Huge ringing dark notes that drove into off time dark and intense guitar/drum groove.
It was up for preorder on their merch site. But it was just made available through Amazon. And yes, the Sure and Certain 7" was also available for a short period of time last week.
Opened the thread and had to double take as to which thread I was in. Brand New reference in the Jimmy Eat World thread. I'm okay with this.
WHEN THE HECK ARE WE GETTING THAT NEW ALBUM!? THEIR CRYPTIC SILENCE IS SO FRUSTR— Oh, next month? Cool.
Definitely like the most recent song released way more than Get Right. I love the bridge even if the guitar sounds like the one found in Pseudologia Fantastica by Foster the People.
i love them all but thats near the bottom for me. essential tracks from each: WPSTWIN - Fake Tales, Red Light, Vampires, Ritz to the Rubble, Certain Romance FWN - D is for Dangerous, FA, House is a Circus, If you were there, 505 Humbug - Propeller, Crying Lightning, Potion, Fire & the Thud, Dance Little Liar, Jeweller's Hand SIAS - She's Thunderstorms, Hellcat, Library Pictures, My Own Stunts, Piledriver, Laserquest AM - Do I Wanna Know, RU Mine, Party Anthem, Only Call Me When Yr High, Snap Out of It
monkeys are an amazing band. debut is probably the best but humbug is close. am is what a good modern rock and roll album should sound like
Yes to most of those. I'd throw Teddy Picker in for FWN. She's Thunderstorms might be my favorite AM track overall. Not too big on AM as an album though
uhhhhhhhhh how is that poor journalism? if you even consider music reviews journalism at all, they're just opinion pieces. there's not really such thing as an objective music review lol. poor writing? fair. poor journalism? not so much.
