I've only listened twice, but Get Right is definitely my least fav here. Early standouts are You With Me, Pass The Baby, The End is Beautiful and Integrity Blues
The End is Beautiful is the first emotional sledgehammer from this album for me. I'm sure as I become more and more familiar with the rest of the album's lyrics, there will be plenty more.
I haven't fallen this hard for an album in awhile. I thought I did, but this album made me realize I was stuck in lust.
I've somehow never seen thsee guys live but am finally doing so in December. Will be so excited if this setlist from Setlist.fm from a few days ago is what they're doing for the next couple months. I love the variety, but sticking mainly to the hits: Get Right Bleed American I Will Steal You Back Big Casino If You Don't, Don't You Are Free Let It Happen Kill Futures Blister You with Me For Me This Is Heaven Lucky Denver Mint A Praise Chorus My Best Theory 23 Work Pain The MIddle The Authority Song Sure and Certain Sweetness
@TJ Wells you will have a blast. I know they mentioned that once the album is out they may add a couple more IB tracks to the set list. And they wrte sound checking pass the baby a few times a few weeks ago.
I was st this show... they joked about playing Authority Song earlier in the set and then didn't play it, so I was pretty surprised when they threw it in the encore. Kill was awesome. I'd assume they play some more new songs now that the album is out.
I'm surprised that people are surprised by liking Pretty Grids, I instantly loved it. I enjoy how the melody in the chorus never really resolves itself, I suppose in that sense it is odd for JEW Man even Pitchfork had great things to say about this album
I like Pretty Grids. I don't get the complaint. I love the variety of Jimmy Eat World styles. Ballads, acoustic heavy songs, fast Rock songs, experimental songs, something whimsical, a poppy catchy single. You can basically count on a least one of all these per Jimmy album
I am also having the issue of not spending enough time with Kevin Devine and other music because of Integrity Blues. This album is seriously perfect.
Video quality is pretty shit (wtf iPhone) but my girlfriend is currently at the album release show and sent me this. Decided last minute to not go and hang with a friend leaving for Thailand for three months instead. Kinda regretting it hah.
All my time has been split between this and Dan Layus haha. I'm glad I like the Dan album a lot because it'll certainly help me make sure I don't overplay Integrity Blues too hard..
