There's no east coast whatsoever so I'm guessing they'll announce a proper headliner early next year.

the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs is an absurdly small venue for them to be playing and I'm stoked to see it.

Bummed that there's no Boston date here. High hopes for 2017, though!

So I got this album sent to me today and I've been digging it all day. Really pumped for them to come back to Columbus.

Hoping they manage to play "Through" live, because I feel like that would just fit so well into their live show.

bummer. was hoping they'd come through when I plan my Halloween trip in the city but they're not coming remotely near this fall.

Hey now! We already get skipped all the time for major tours, no need to hate on NE for finally getting a good one!

Maybe an interesting addition to this news story: I got an email from Spotify this afternoon, subject "A special thank you from Jimmy Eat World" thanking me for "being a fan" and offering advance presale:

Jimmy Eat World has not come to my town in the ten years I've lived here. They are on this tour... While I'm on vacation.

I understand it's the definition of a first world problem, but you know, if my favorite band could have been in my town for the first time in a decade during one of the 51 out of 52 weeks I'm around, that would have been fantastic.

Any clues as to the over all sound of the album (if comparable to past work?).

Sure and Certain gives me a Lucky Denver Mint vibe and I'm totally okay with that :)

It's exactly what you'd expect a JEW record to sound like in 2016. I haven't gotten an overall vibe that strictly compares to one album.

I got a presale code from Spotify so I ended up going with Pomona as it was $6 cheaper than the Troubadour and less of a drive than Hollywood.
