Saw: Legacy Officially Retitled Jigsaw

 

This will be a garbage fire of firey garbage, and my $12.50 is guaranteed.

 

I don't think I've seen 3-7.

 

If you go into them knowing they are bad, you will have some fun.

 

I read that as Speilberg at first, lol.

 

Does the underlying story "work" and tie them all together?

 

It does. Is it asspull after asspull due to casting changes, a rotating writing staff, and a desperate to come up with a story and get it out in time for Halloween. Yes, yes, and yes. But it does all come together in the end and tie itself off as well as a trainwreck can.

 

I never got around to the last few Saw films but as a fan of awful horror movies, how insanely stupid this series got and just trainwrecks in general I really should watch them.

 

The poster makes me feel like The Muppets are experiencing issues with Miss Piggy getting a dragon tattoo.

 

I'm into it.

 

As a die hard saw fan... I drew the line after saw 6. Once we got to cops and cops... That was enough.

It was funny how simple the rules were getting at one point. "Don't go in the room".. fuck you I'm going in the room...dead.

 

Can't believe I am about to defend Saw's writing but the "don't go in the room" thing was specifically for that one guy because he had a bad tendency of not securely entering areas with proper cover/preparation and blowing missions as a result. Unless were thinking of different traps.

 

Are they now cutting trailers at the aspect ratio to fit portrait on smart phones?

 

Looks bad can't wait

 

Actual question; Do they explain how Jigsaw affords to create all of these contraptions? Over time it must have cost millions of dollars. Also who builds them? Doesn't seem like something you can build by yourself.

They do to a minimal degree. He was an engineer prior to becoming sick, but had his assistants/successors set up the traps for him when he was Jigsaw for the most part.

 

He was hit by a Lexus and now he's flushed with cash

 

Also there was a retconned supplement to the first movie that showed him as a toy designer.

 

My friends had never seen Saw prior to The Final Chapter being released. I made them sit down and drink and watch all of them in a sitting before heading off to the premiere of 7. It was a blast.

 

On that note...

 

I really want to watch the whole series now. I've only seen the first two.
