This the elitism im talking about here. It was here 20 years ago, it is here now. Anyone who has different opinion is a "stooge"
They honestly might not be. Probably are, but I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt to them vs other posters that are clearly trolling
Think of all the different variants of meth you could make. You could just use the already existing song titles from Deja since they sound like sentence fragments someone on meth would ramble out.
One of my favorite chorus.fm memories was when Sherwood released that Summer EP for free in 2006 on absolutepunk.net
For one thing, this website has a Josh (I hope people read this in the iron man “we have a hulk” tone)
yeah i've never been a member of absolutepunk but on chorus I am a moderator that couldn't happen on absolutepunk because it doesn't exist
There are worse names you could call someone for excusing a guy sexting a minor. Stooge is kinda nice
Oh in that case, dude is no longer a stooge. Don't want it to evoke positive feelings. We'll settle for nitwit.
Im not excusing, im saying that the scene excused way worse for way worse bands. All I was trying to say that MAYBE 20+ years after it happened, still maybe give him a 2nd chance regardless of what did or did not happen back then. But i'll stop here now though, it's pointless now as it was pointless in 2017.
what it really comes down to is: did he apologize for what he did? did he publicly do anything to make amends for it, or do anything to make the scene that adored him safer for future generations of fans and artists? did he do anything to stop fans from harassing the victims? as far as I'm aware, all of the answers are no.
it just kinda seems like you’re making what he did seem less bad than it actually is, which is weird to do.
I'm not really trying to bug ya or whatever, but maybe instead of framing it as "why couldn't a band I like less be victimizing girls" frame it as "ugh, why couldn't Jesse Lacey not victimize girls" so that way you keep your band AND no one is abused.
