What I find so fascinating is that their two releases are completely different and it’s been almost 20 years since Presents. So I have absolutely no idea what to expect tomorrow but I’m excited for it.

    Microphones or no microphones?!?!?!?

Also unreal to think I’m getting to see JD live two years after I saw City of Caterpillar. Never ever thought I would ever get to see either band. Pretty exciting stuff.

Like I said I had no idea what to expect but I have to say I am pretty disappointed. It just seems like a less interesting version of something that would have been on Presents. At least with that album the megaphone vocals were done well and added a new dynamic to their sound, but on this it just seems kind of lazy. Musically I like what is happening but I am just not digging the vocals at all.

    I wasn't expecting Safety pt2. but I also wasn't expecting Presents pt2.

Still looking forward to the album and seeing them live. Very curious if they still stick to all their gimmicks with their live set.

I remember reading that the vocalist is unable to scream like they used to, so not surprised by the megaphone vocals, I think they’re less jarring here than on Presents, too. Digging this song, it really kicks off about a minute in.

This is a lot more of a straight-ahead hardcore sound than I expected, but I kinda dig it
