I thought I would like Buzzy as a host because I was a fan of his as a contestant, but I'm finding him kind of annoying right now.

Buzzy got a little choked up reading that tribute to Brayden Smith

I didn't know that either. Maybe it's only easy if you live in the Midwest.

yeah i am certain there are a ton of people i know who would not have gotten that.

I don't live in the midwest and thought it was super easy.
Maybe I watch too much college football.

Jeopardy contestants are usually not great with sports.

    LOL

I didn't know any of those answers either. Sports was a huge weakness on my pub trivia team until I recruited a coworker who is a sports guy.

Yeah I go 0-1 out of 5 on sports almost every time. But I'm usually 4-5 out of 5 on movies or music.

I'm catching up on Jeopardy episodes from last week and this guy's anecdote is about how he wouldn't sleep with stuffed animals as a child, but instead with a piece of fruit.

My wife is pretty smart and didn’t know it. She guessed Miami (The U). I knew it just because years of watching the NFL intros have engrained Ohio state players saying “from THE, Ohio State University” haha

I would have guessed Miami as well. I thought I heard a lot of players emphasize the the in Miami during Monday Night Football.

I think I knew someone from the show the other day - May have worked with her in one of my jobs - 30 years ago or so. Havent been able to reach out now, though. They probably are getting oodles of requests.

Levar was sooo bad at hosting. I'm excited to finally get a permanent host for next season, though.

I find it funny how he says "What's" every time no matter what the answer is and never "Who is."

He also said in one of his anecdotes that every winter he marathons the LOTR extended editions, so I'm in love.

yeah it kinda bothers me how he doesn't use the right interrogative word, but he knows a lot and is aggressive with his wagers, which is fun to watch

    Agreed 100% with @riotspray.

Oh, and I think this CNBC guy is actually pretty good as a host? As much as I'm sure we don't want another old white dude, he does pretty well.
