Listening to Witchi-Tai-To by Jan Garbarek & Bobo Stenson Quartet for the first time. Great stuff

 

Just been to see The Comet Is Coming’s last ever London show. It was amazing but also bittersweet considering that Shabaka is retiring from playing the sax.

Jaimie Branch's last album is unsurprisingly great, but bittersweet all things considering. She's left us with a great collection of albums, though.

 

Stoked for Ezra Collective winning the Mercury prize during the week. Fully deserved.

 

I don’t know enough about Jazz to know if this is an obvious recommendation or not, but I discovered this a few months ago and have listened to it so many times since. Really, really good.

 

Idk if I found out about Sun Arcs by Blue Lake in here or not, but it's very good!

 

Keith Jarrett's Sun Bear sessions have a few parts that are absolutely grating, and then some brilliant stuff. The "Osaka - November 8" section is great.

 

Haven’t listened to as much jazz this year as in the past couple years but recently these 2 albums have really caught my attention.

 

The Daniel Villarreal one is superb. Loved his last one too.

 

Been enjoying the new Sunwatchers album lately. Not exactly jazz, but I saw them open for Sons of Kemet years back so close enough.
