Literally just came to post about this album. Beautiful stuff. It seems to be available on Spotify as well.
Had no idea this was coming out today. Really enjoyed his last album, looking forward to checking this one out.
Excited for the Cunningham record. I had completely forgotten it was coming out today. Some other notable releases today including this one from Nate Wooley w/ Mary Halvorson, Susan Alcorn, and others: plus this group featuring Luke Stewart (always a must-listen when I see he’s involved):
I asked for recs right when school was ending and then I don't have time to listen to new music over the summer so I'm getting to some of these now. Julian Lage is pretty cool!
I tend to start my day on the mellow side of life. Some faves: (Coltrane And Johnny Hartman too. And Ballads.) The Melody At Night, With You In general if you put on any random Keith Jarrett record, it’s apt to be a winner
Ralph Towner is a bit more turtleneck serious, but who can help but contemplate when u hear these spacious licks
I'm so bad at ID'ing songs by ear, can anyone tell me what the lick they go into around 47:50 is? Keyboard player does it and then the bass player picks it up and then goes into the Boogie On Reggae Woman riff, but I can't place the one before it
Was just reading about that, will definitely give this a listen at some point. Sounds right up my street.
