Have only heard the Anna Webber album from this list. New to check out that James Brandon Lewis, have seen it getting a lot of love.

Missed that Chelsea Carmichael album, didn’t know it had come out. Remember liking the first single, so will check that today.

  7. New job that allows me to listen while working, feel re energized in listening to new stuff. Didn't really make a dent in all the 2021 jazz I wanted to listen to despite me saying I would lol.

Anyway point is the Lady Blackbird album is fucking incredible

Revisited the Lady Blackbird album bc of the post yesterday which led me to revisit this one as well. Feel like it was severely overlooked last year.

An old Lustmord track, redone by Bohren & Der Club Of Gore. It's so good.

I wasn’t able to and that was exactly my first listen as well. Even thought my first listen wasn’t completely focused I caught enough to know the album is killer and these guys remain two of the best doing it right now.

Yeah, my first listen was whilst I was working too. But it was so good, I listened to it again immediately afterwards. Really fucking good stuff.

  21. Really blown away by that one after a few listens. Really interesting synthesis of the more free stuff Golding did on his last solo one vs the more groovy stuff from Alive in the East?. Only complaint is it gives me tinnitus ptsd sometimes lol

New Alabaster DePlume is insanely good. Felt like I could do with out some of the spoken word stuff at times, but that may grow on me with more listens.
