Pitchfork seems to like it as well. One of the highest scores I’ve seen for a non BNM review. I’m not familiar but I’m excited to check it out. Matana Roberts: Coin Coin Chapter Four: Memphis
I just love that his jazz bona fides are established, so he'll try anything and collaborate with anyone. Very Herbie in that way.
My band's hip hop jazz album is out, its not the jazziest cause it sounds like a ton of shit. This third track is maximum jazz, there's like a two minute sax solo from Dustin Laurenzi, dude is insanely talented and just kills it.
James Francies Flight album from last year is bloody great. Joel Ross played on it too, which is a nice bonus.
Nice, didn’t know he had a new album coming out. Although with Binker Golding releasing an album this year too, it’s just making me want another collaborative album.
This isn’t typically the type of jazz I’m into but this album was a pleasant listen. I’m not super familiar with Lake Street Dive, but Rachael Price’s voice fits this style of music really well.

Also love that Angel Bat Dawid record. I actually just read this earlier today. Good stuff. 'When you're black, being alive is a success': Angel Bat Dawid, 2019's brightest new jazz star
I've only heard Brad Mehldau's, Hiromi's, and The Comet is Coming's albums so I'm excited to check out all these recommendations too
