Damn I love that Yazz Ahmed

 

Matana Roberts album is so good, everyone is correct.

 

Yeah the Ahmed, Branch, and Roberts albums are three of the best I’ve heard this year.

 

The Ahmed might be my favorite jazz of the year. Groovy as fuck

 

Finally sitting down to give this a listen. Pretty great so far.

 

I just love that his jazz bona fides are established, so he'll try anything and collaborate with anyone. Very Herbie in that way.

 

Idk anything about the artist but this album is a beauty.

 

My band's hip hop jazz album is out, its not the jazziest cause it sounds like a ton of shit. This third track is maximum jazz, there's like a two minute sax solo from Dustin Laurenzi, dude is insanely talented and just kills it.

 

James Francies Flight album from last year is bloody great. Joel Ross played on it too, which is a nice bonus.

 

Nice, didn’t know he had a new album coming out. Although with Binker Golding releasing an album this year too, it’s just making me want another collaborative album.

New Muriel Grossmann December 5th. Still spin Golden Rule pretty frequently.

 

This isn’t typically the type of jazz I’m into but this album was a pleasant listen. I’m not super familiar with Lake Street Dive, but Rachael Price’s voice fits this style of music really well.
