yeah I want a lawyer movie about sitting in-front of a computer for 16 straight hrs then going to bed everyday for two weeks

A movie about a class action lawsuit but it’s three hours in and they’re still trying to dismiss the case on jurisdictional grounds. Discovery takes up the entirety of the sequel, then in the third the judge just grants summary judgment

 

except your computer is broken so it’s 2 hrs of IT trying to fix it

“did you try turning it off and then on again? ok try it again”

The opening scene is just thirty minutes of typing random words into Westlaw hoping something relevant pops up

 

then a bit of flirting with the cute legal assistant but she is not intrested in you

then a conference call and your local counsel is late so 15 mins of waiting around and cursing them on mute

 

Yep, all those classic universal legal experiences

 

i want a legal movie where the guy reads the same document over and over again until his eyes bleed

 

You say that as if my vision hasn’t genuinely deteriorated in the single year of law school I’ve gone through

Heard this recently and was really into it. She's a tremendous singer. And anything where Jimmy Rowles is playing piano tends to be a winner with me.

 

Hirmoi's Clare de Lune just came on the playlist I'm listening to. It was wonderful.

Sons of Kemet put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen last night.

The openers, Sunwatcher, put on one of the worst. It was borderline unbearable.

 

A little late but, RIP Roy Hargrove. Used to listen to him all the time in high school.

I’ve really gotten into that Sons of Kemet record since they were announced for Big Ears festival this year. Some very cool shit. Totally overlooked it being posted in here.

 

I saw them live a few weeks back and they blew me away. Incredible show and musicians.

 

I don't frequently feel "I have never heard anything like this" and "this is catchy and awesome" at the same time. This one has both in spades.
