Recently discovered this band and I think fans of Jay Som would enjoy this jam, same washy guitar tone and excellent female vocals

 

this album actually fell off a lot for me, there's a few amazing songs but the rest sort of washes over

 

Haven't listened to it much the last few months, probably because I listened so much when it came out, but I still think it's among the year's best.

 

Listening right now, actually. I really love it. It’ll probably show up in my top ten.

 

It's still my favorite album of the year. It's better than the sum of its parts I think; there have been better individual songs released this year than anything here for sure but beginning to end it just hits the spot for me.

 

i think part of my problem is that "the bus song" and "one more time please" are so much better than the rest and i barely remember any of the back half

 

Oh that's interesting, I love both of those but I think the last 3 songs are right there with them.

Folks, One More Time Please into Baybee is a fucking knock out.

 

This record sounds even better in the summer

 

It's winter here and I assure you it sounds perfect no matter what

So at some point Jay Som died and was replaced by a look alike? If she appears bare footed on her next album cover, then we can consider the theory confirmed.

 

i mean have you ever seen Jay Som and Melina Duterte in the same room??? i think not!!!
