They're doing a bunch of those screenings. I was contemplating going, but the tickets were $50+fees, and the meet and greets were $750! It still wound up selling out in less than 24 hours. It's stupid anyway, because the movie will have already been out for 2 weeks when they come to my town. edit: guess this was discussed a little bit on the last page.
I'm pretty sure that's the idea just like how terrible the blunt saber scene was in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Isn't that suppose to mirror the "acting" on the movie set in the first film with Mark Hamill in terms of cheesiness?
Has anyone heard anything about this yet? It looks terrible but I have a soft spot for Smith and considering there's only two showings, I'm getting a ticket for tomorrow
They have certainly been doing plenty of promo for it. All my YouTube recommended videos seem to be the pair of them and Harley appearing on talkshows/web shows.
I have tickets for tonight and looking forward to seeing another glimpse of the View Askew universe. My hopes are low as the trailers look absolutely terrible, but I've been a Kevin Smith fan for 20 years now. I must have watched my Mallrats VHS 100 times freshman year and I remember JASBSB was the only movie I ever saw in the theater three times.
I was 14 when Chasing Amy came out but after wearing out copies of Clerks and Mallrats, I remember waiting for it to come out.
I dont think any of us are going to like this movie, but the love of Kevin Smith will still get us to watch it. Im looking forward to Clerks 3 more now.
based on cameos, I have NO IDEA how this only cost $10 million. Kevin must have really good friends that will work for the minimum.
