I think we've reached a point with the scope of media consumption where we should expect that artists listen to EVERYTHING just like we do. Which is awesome.
Just scored four tickets for his second Louisville show in December! This will be three times seeing him in like a 15-month span which is pretty sweet in my book haha
They are a part of the deluxe edition of sirens of the ditch coming out July 13. Apparently there is 2 more unreleased tracks on it too.
Agree. I could go without White Mans World and Super 8. Replace them with Speed Trap Town and Hudson Commodore.
This is peak twitter content: Also I saw this dude at Forecastle a few weekends ago for the fourth time in the last two years and wow he just keeps putting on a better and better show. Unbelievable.
Did a piece about Sirens of the Ditch for Vinyl Me Please: ‘Sirens Of The Ditch’ Was Jason Isbell’s First Second Act — Vinyl Me, Please
I have the record but only listened to it once. I should really go back to it considering how much I love his last three.
I've never spent as much time with it as the last four, but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed revisiting it for this piece. Some great songs here, especially "Dress Blues" which I think is still top five Jason Isbell.
If you told me "Dress Blues" was Jason's best song I wouldn't argue with you. I can't really pick just one though. (But if I absolutely had to it would be "Relatively Easy" haha)
