Friendly reminder that the summer tour with The Mountain Goats went on sale at 11 a.m. ET and seems to be going pretty quickly, so get on it! I got sixth row seats for Cincinnati so I'm pretty excited. First summer concert purchase this year.
Don't know where in TX yall are from but the dates that went on sale today were all the LiveNation venues. So if you're in Austin it may not be on sale yet.
Was obsessively digging around the internet for any new crumbs of details about the forthcoming record (found none except a quote saying it's going to make you want to dance apparently), when I found this gem of an interview from 2011, just before Here We Rest came out. Jason Isbell: Interview Really not all that interesting for the most part, but at the end the interviewer asks Isbell where he sees the band going and what the goals are, and Jason says he just doesn't want to have to go back to having a second job bagging groceries. As someone who has followed his music for a decade I sometimes forget how far this guy has come in the last five years or so. And I'll be damned if I can think of someone who is more deserving of the success!
Pretty sure Southeastern Records is tweeting the tracklist to the new record. We should have an announcement today or tomorrow, I'm guessing.

Ever notice that Isbell is oddly up on what's happening in the alternative world? He just retweeted Haley Williams tonight and he's tweeted/retweeted about Tom Delonge/blink a few times. Always found that funny.
