i still listen to Southeastern and Nashville Sound with regularity - i see this album being one that I don't turn to for weekly or regular listens but when i do come back to it, its like the only thing i listen to for a few days lol
i have the riff to overseas tattooed on my brain and this is pretty easily my favorite overall record of his
I hear ya but then there's all of Jerry Garcia's early 70s playing which was mostly middle pickup I believe
Caught their full band livestream a few months back and loved it. Hoping there's a way to buy it tomorrow and watch then because I can't watch tonight but totally would then
Didnt get to catch it live but watching the re-play now .... holy smokes. Letting You Go a highlight, Dreamsicle as well.
Man. What a show. Gave it a full view and then went back and watched select songs. ‘Only Children’ still kills me.
Unreal show. Was a little disappointed in the song they chose to close with but the rendition was cool, and they were tight as hell. And we got Super 8 which is always fun.
I think the opener would have been fantastic if each chorus didn't repeat twice. Literally my only issue with the record.
Actually, my main nitpick is the production on “Be Afraid” especially the chorus. Also just don’t really like the chorus in general. Idk how popular this take is, but with a few exceptions, I prefer his more stripped-down songs However, it was cool to see the contrast between this and his Brooklyn Bowl show that was just him and Amanda. He really utilized the band for this show
jason getting a signature tele from fender it looks like nothing super special, just a "road worn" mid tier fender, but kinda cool
Not directly related but here's one of my favourite musicians from Canada jamming with the 400 Unit! Apparently Sadler is a big fan. If you guys don't already know Bahamas you might discover something you like! He's an insane live musician.
