Very excited for this!

 

I think her past two albums cemented her as my favorite artist of the past five years. This sounds like it’s going to continue that trend. It’s probably her, Silo’s Choice, and Protomartyr.

More than any other artist besides maybe Yo La Tengo, her music sounds good to me at almost any time. And that she has enough varied sound across two records is nuts.

 

this 100%. very much over the 80’s synth pop/disco inspired shit and when this track started I was nervous, but the chorus is just fucking perfect. Her last album was pretty varied in styles so I’m not too worried.

 

I woke up this morning thinking about how much I love J Brekkie and how much I can’t wait for this album.

 

He’s also a giant indie rock fan

Killed it. Glad they got to do something conceptual and fun. Great band. Made me want to see them live again, the two times I’ve seen them have been two of my favorite recent (pre-covid) concerts.
