Yeah I’m interested in what this show is because a random one off feels interesting, and i like Andy shauf, but there’s so many shows this summer and then I’m debating a between a festival or two i just dk if i can’t justify 160 for me and my wife to go see her play a set we’ve seen 3 times in the past two years.
I went to see her on her book tour last night and also got the chance to meet her. She was super energetic, gracious, and kind. She was asked about the future of JB and she pretty much said she'll write the next album once the screenplay for Crying In H Mart is done as that's a really arduous process for her right now.
Right?! I got one for $15. incredible show! Before going into Posing for Cars she talked about how this past month had been really hard for her on a personal level. Hoping everything is alright.
Idk if I just got lucky or what but when I saw Bright Eyes there in May the same thing happened, someone offloaded a bunch of tix for cheap the week/day of. I’m almost thinking it’s just the venue but they wouldn’t have to if the tickets were cheaper from the start. Anyways, I wonder if all this touring is catching up to her. I mean this is the sixth Chicago show she has played since shows came back and that’s just one city, she’s been all over and really non stop touring since the record came out.
Thank you! Beautiful cover, too funny how somebody screams "no fucking way" repeatedly Is it Frankie Cosmos singing with them too?
Andy Shauf was supposed to open the shows but had to back out due to a medical issue and Frankie Cosmos was added which was great.
I feel both happy now that I recognized her, and dumb at the same time that I called a vocalist of the band by the band name hahah, I was sure it's her nickname. Love Andy Shauf too, can't believe what a line up it could be with all these acts together
Fortunate I already have a copy, but it happens every time there's an Alex G rerelease and it's so fucking frustrating. Great record, too. Somedays, my favorite of hers.
