I think she's saying that a bunch of bros who never knew who she was now have a ton of opinions on her music
Basically this, but to add fire to the flames, it's usually white guys who pose with fish on their dating profiles. Michelle's tweet this morning made me laugh so hard that I was like "she's made it."
Fantastic insight and background on the songs and the recordings are top notch. Favorite and first live show of 2021 and a great way to come out of quarantine. I could gush about Michelle all day. Her songwriting is just so captivating. Lyrics, musicianship, composition, all of it. I think she's at the top of her game and only getting bigger. 2021 has been a non-stop climb for success and she couldn't be more deserving of it. From Jubilee, to H Mart, to Sable I've loved it all. So inspired and relatable content 10/10.
She was performing on the Kelly Clarkson show, so I don’t think that performance was for the average chorus user/Japanese breakfast fan. Great song choice to intrigue new listeners.
"Slide Tackle" and "Paprika" have gotten huge independent radio plays where I am, so every time I hear "Be Sweet" on the radio it just feels like a nice treat at this point. However I'm in the camp of wanting to hear "Paprika" everywhere because I am the #1 Japanese Breakfast Gong Fan, haha.
I wonder if they'd let her bring out the gong for Paprika; usually musical guests have two songs, right?
Feel like there's no chance, but one of the first few songs for the first performance and an abridged Posing for Cars for the second would be so sick. My actual guess is Be Sweet followed by Paprika.
