If I had to pick my least favorite from the album, I think I'd pick Sit. I still like the song though.
Nah I’m with Zac on that. Phrasing it like all the other songs are better is a really good way of putting it too
I’m with Zac. It’s a fine song, but it’s mostly just pretty. Every other song is more interesting to me. It’s not even the best Wilco-sounding song on the record. It’s like an 8/10 song on a record of 9.5s and 10s.
Stoked to be seeing Japanese Breakfast open for Bright Eyes next week. Lucy Dacus is playing as well. I'm ready.
I still can't believe it. This will be my first concert in a long time (outside of an outdoor Manchester Orchestra show last fall). We're lucky here, a new venue opened up and it is bringing in a lot of well known acts without the responsibility of selling out a massive amphitheater.
It also doesn’t benefit by coming directly before Slide Tackle, which is the best track on the album and a top 3 JB track overall (with Body is a Blade and Heft, for me).
My top 5 would probably be Paprika Posing For Cars Posing in Bondage Slide Tackle Savage Good Boy Then Kokomo
Kokomo is lower tier for me too, but I agree it's positioning on the record doesn't do it many favours. Having this little acoustic ditty sandwiched between Paprika, Be Sweet and Slide Tackle, it's not what I'm in the mood for at that point in the album.
I'm seeing this tour tonight in Richmond, but I did just attend an in-studio members-only session with the band thanks to my local independent music radio station. They performed "Be Sweet," "Slide Tackle" and "Kokomo" and I can confirm that all three sounded INCREDIBLE live, even if it was just in a small setting.
Popping in to say Savage Good Boy absolutely goes off live! They were amazing last night!! This was honestly the perfect show back. And Michelle sounded great!
