I looove this. Probably my least favourite of hers though

Love this take. All three are 9/10 records or better. Unsure i like this one more than Soft Sounds.

 

It’s still early, but she’s probably gotten better with each record for me

 

All three are stunners, genuinely don't think I could rank them (or would need/want to)

 

Yeah it’s funny. Like this is really fucking great but I’m just so in love Psychopomp and Soft Sounds. Come back to me in 6 months or so and maybe I’ll have a different view. But I do think Psychopomp will keep top spot for me.


I’ve been listening to all 3 albums since I got this. It’s been a great week haha

 

I’ve only been lukewarm on her past records, but preferred Soft Sounds until now

 

Probably listened to the last two records more than anything else in the past 5 years.

 

Tactics really has me feeling all kinds of.. feelings

 

The only one I kinda think about skipping is Sit

 

I heard Be Sweet playing at Target

 

I felt this way on first listen but i actually think it’s a great, dense atmospheric track

 

Sit is great.

This record, for one so densely layered and varied sonically, all holds together so splendidly. Quite an achievement for Michelle and the band.

 

So excited for a Jbrekkie live set.

 

I’ve had the guitar lick from Kokomo, IN stuck in my head all day.

stoopidly excited to see them in Asheville!

 

Looking like she’ll be my first show back, with Mannequin Pussy no less. Gonna be so good.

 

Picked this up at the store this afternoon, great record

 

Right now she’s my first club show for the fall. Only festivals before it.

 

MP first show for me but Jbrekkie I think exactly a month after that

 

She’s having a wild year

 

I would do terrible things to get to see her play live. I was the same about Jay Som but managed to see her open for The National. Jbrekkie is the one person left I am absolutely dying to see live

 

Every time I listen to "Boyish," I think about Spirit in Pittsburgh turning on the disco ball for it lol amazing show

 

I think Paprika is my favorite on the album. It feels so triumphant and colorful.
