Ahhhh crap I thought today was the release day, lol. I think I’m going to still hold out for next Friday because without a computer I have no idea how to listen to leaks anymore

 

Leaks ruin the fun of album releases so it's okay to wait. I'm excited for next Friday

 

My record is out for delivery today and I cannot wait to listen to it!

 

I'm fine with getting a whole album leak in good quality, especially one that I know I'll continue to listen to repeatedly like hers.

 

Idk a leak probably sucks for the artist (though this one seems to be because orders were sent out early??) but there’s a different kind of excitement getting to unexpectedly hear an album one day over knowing exactly when you’ll hear it.

Not the same thing, because it was the artist’s choice, but I got a similar feeling when black midi put their album up on streaming a couple days early this week.

 

It's mostly just a bummer not having the means to download a leak (I only have a work computer) and waiting to discuss something people have already been talking about for a week

 

I get both of these. The LPs have been in some people's hands for a month now so I'm surprised it took until now to leak.

I definitely do wish there was some way to upload music to Apple Music through an iPad or iPhone. It's insane that you can't.

 

I've never really been one to go after leaks, even in the days of Mediafire and Limewire. I'm bummed I can't stream this as much as I'd love to before next week, but listening to the LP on my record player has been a delight.

It definitely has AOTY potential for me, especially after a first listen.

 

today's such a slow release day that i'm very happy to have this album early.

 

I don't really do leaks anymore. I definitely get it, but I'd almost always rather wait until release day.

As long as your money is making its way to the artist somehow, i don’t think you should feel bad about doin some downloads. Assuming you have money. If you don’t have the money, fuck it do what you want anyways.

 

Ever since I went to streaming I haven't felt like I'm missing out on leaks but this one is killing me lol

 

I've been reading her book in the meantime, I'll finish it right before the album releases

I think I’m going to re-read it soon. I blitzed it because of the frame of mind I was in at the time - and it was absolutely timely - but I want to go back and ensure I got it all.

 

It’s better on each listen.

 

I can’t wait to see what the production is going to be like for this tour. The album is huge. I can see her going huge for this.
