Yeah I was happy she fell, she also came back into the crowd and was pitting really hard and got into a fight with someone. Other than that and the fact they didn't play Evils Sway or Adrenaline Nightshift it was a perfect show lol
Halloween show was awesome but I was also super bummed the crowd wasn’t into Cloud Nothings. Weird that they’re not getting a big reaction on this tour, I would think those bands have a similar audience.
Yeah crowd was dead until Wasted Days, which they closed with Hopefully they got a lot of new fans on the tour
Hopefully. They were also having huge technical issues at my show, one of their amps kept breaking and they played two of the songs instrumental because Dylan kept trying to fix it. Sooo, my crowd probably wasn’t too impressed lol.
The bassist and the other guitarist aren’t doing too much to help the show either. Drummer and Dylan killed it though
If I remember right, Cloud Nothings liked a tweet making fun of how Near To The Wild Heart of Life was forgotten so quickly a few months back, which I thought was funny.
I definitely hadn't listened to either record for months until like last week. But they are both great
So it goes for early-in-the-year releases... But I agree that both albums were unfortunately big step downs from the predecessors, NTTWHOL more so in my opinion.
I still regularly listen to the new Cloud Nothings, I can't say the same about the new Japandroids (not that I don't like it, just doesn't have me going back as much as their older stuff)
It's weird, because I really liked the new songs live when I saw them last year, but did not like the record at all.
If you just skip/remove Arc of Bar this album is really solid, if only half an hour long. I don't have a problem with that song, on its own, but I certainly feel like it disrupts the flow/doesn't fit at all.
