They were great, wonder what the technical issues were last night. I also demand that every show have only one opener from here on out, I'm too old for 4 band bills.
Show ruled, crowd was great. Technical difficulties seemed to be just that one of his many many amps wasn't working or wasn't loud enough. Brian also kept pointing to the speaker stack on his side of the stage so maybe he wasn't hearing his himself loud enough too? I dunno. Honestly wasn't very noticeable at all. So happy they played "I Quit Girls," prolly the highlight of the show for me. "Arc of Bar" is still a snooze even when played live. Most of the other new songs were great. Setlist was identical to the night before in Minnesota I believe. If anyone wondered what the pit at a Japandroids show smells like in 2017, the answer is Selsun Blue, Miller High Life and ballsweat, in that order.
I feel like I enjoy this album less the better the speakers are, haha. The production really bugs me when it's on really nice speakers, but I love it on my work speakers
This is by far my favorite Japandroids record. CR is alright, but I don't find it to be the magnum opus everyone else seems to think it is.
Off topic but the new Mount Eerie album coming out reminded me I don't own a physical copy of The Glow Pt 2. I only want the CD because I'm too broke for vinyl. But I see the CD is like $60-$100!!! I take it the physical is well out of print?
I prefer "boi" actually And if saying that gets me threadbanned then that's a hill I am willing to die on
It's still available on vinyl. It's only like $25 on vinyl. The whole microphones discography got reissued on vinyl. I'm honestly not sure about CDs, I havnt bought CDs for a really really long time
Yeah fair enough, I'm too poor to collect vinyl and my car is so old it has a CD player and no aux so I'm just a dinosaur keeping the CD industry afloat haha.
