I have a feeling the first three tracks on this album are going to be like what the last three tracks on Celebration Rock are to me. Meaning - my personal highlight of the album and the part that makes me want to drive down the highway with my windows down screaming with the sun beating down on my face
After my fourth listen I'm pretty impressed. I wasn't really feeling No Known Drink when they first released it, but it's probably my favorite now. Plus it leads into Body Like a Grave so well. The last two songs end this record perfectly.
So the other day, before I had really familiarized myself with the track list, I listened to No Known Drink or Drug......I didn't realize my iPod was on shuffle, so True Love/Free Will popped up next and I thought that was the closer....I was so pumped up about what an awesome closer it was as I sped down the freeway and the morning sun beat down against my windshield....for a brief and fleeting moment, there wasn't a care in the world. It was an incredible moment. Now I can't get over it. I feel like I was lied to. Body Like a Grave is awesome too, and probably works better, but I can't recalibrate my system now. Fucking shuffle.
I love this album way too much. It's going to be a tough one to beat moving forward, for sure. Can't wait to see them on Colbert tonight.
I had an album out of order once for months and when I finally had to switch it around to the actual track list it ruined my whole relationship with the album
I thought even the sand is made of seashells was the closer of ACBTLD for years because iTunes didn't denote it as a bonus track
Are these guys good live? I missed them every time they came around during the Celebration Rock cycle, but I'm going to see them do a small show (200-250ish cap) and an acoustic in store next week and i'm pretty pumped.
First time through this, not feeling it save for the title track. I'm positive that's because it's just such a departure, so I think when I try again I'll take to it more.
True Love and a Free Life of Free Will is by far my favorite wow what a track. Can't wait to stay up late in the summer with my girlfriend and listen to that one.
Same, and the bonus track Jen was somewhere in the middle of the album. Glad I discovered the correct order when I moved to streaming though.
shit. Damn I thought it was the closer too till just now. Yeah even on Apple Music it just shows it as another track not a bonus
Finally listened to this and I really like it on first listen. I definitely agree with those who highlighted the strength of the album's last couple of tracks.
