Theyve really outdone themselves with this one

Arc Of Bar is definitely an early favorite for me, along with North East South West and In A Body Like A Grave

I can't even pick a favorite. If I had to right this second it would be True Love... but that will change next time I listen probably.

I didn't read it yet, but I could tell from the Twitter headline that it was going to be insufferable.

Yeah love this. The closer was cool. Need to listen to this more, but I was surprised how much better the lyrics are. On CR they fit the songs well, but I feel he really applied himself more here.

It's almost as if they wrote and recorded their album before an idiot was elected president of a nation that isn't their home country!

"Arc of Bar" might actually be my least favorite track on this album

I mean, I can understand wanting to listen to something less effusive on a day like today, but that's why it's a good thing that the album lasts for longer than the next few weeks. Just feels like an extension of the "listen for a week and move on" trend that a lot of listeners seem to be following these days.

however those two records that are also mentioned in that article are absolute must listens, by the way.

Lol "the album isn't sad enough" is what I'm reading from that quote

It's like the writer is searching for any excuse to dislike the album for the sake of being cool and contrarian. I've already seen a similar backlash against Japandroids in certain quarters of twitter for spurious reasons (mainly because 'men like them'), so I'm starting to think a broader critical movement against them may be imminent.
