I'd say it's still very distinctly Japandroids, but there are some flourishes that show them branching out a bit on True Love And A Free Life Of Free Will and Arc Of Bar
I think the diversity lies in tempo and intensity. They were mostly pedal to the medal on both with the last record. This one benefits from better control of dynamics. Still very much them though
yup, they're able to keep what makes them such a special band perfectly in tact so the big differences dont seem that big even. which is impressive because its very clearly unlike anything theyve ever done
This is amazing. Absolutely love Celebration Rock but after only a couple of listens I like this more
God damn how am I just now realizing this? I have to leave for work in 10 minutes. Should I listen through my phone speakers or wait till I can blast it through my sound system at home tonight or tomorrow?
Dang, I'm totally going to buy this CD If other want to do the same: Japandroids - Near To The Wild Heart Of Life - Amazon.com Music
I would agree, but I would suggest going on their official store, show the band some love as directly as possible. I just grabbed that clear vinyl bundle.
Which is totally fine, haha. I'm glad people are digging it. It's not like I hate the song or anything. It's not "For Love of Ivy." I just connect more with the other seven.
