Definitely doesn't appear to be a sprawling concept album like her previous work. Think we're just getting some fun Janelle songs, which is pretty cool too

 

I have no problem with a 30-minute album from her as long as the quality is there!

 

Neither here nor there, but Solar Power rocks and I will defend it every time it's brought up

Damn, not really into the short song idea. I miss the ambition and sprawl of her early stuff. Still looking forward to this one tho

 

Dirty Computer was amazing and I'm looking forward to this too but I would kill for her to do something like ArchAndroid again

 

Dirty Computer is my favorite if I’m being honest but I love the first 2 a lot too especially ArchAndroid. The Dirty Computer movie is sooo cool

 

Just sitting here knowing The Electric Lady is one of the best albums of this century.

It's a fun one but I don't feel like going back to it right away

 

Loveeee the queer vibes all over this record. Phenomenal is really sexy.

This is fun. Again, I do miss the weirdness quite a bit. But this is still a great addition to her catalogue.

yeahhhh unfortunately this isn't really living up to the hype i had after the single. it's fun but not really sticking with me at all.

 

Only had one proper listen so far but Champagne Shit is unreal, and I really enjoyed the album. Gotta sit with it a bit I think

 

yeah this is fun and I can't believe Janelle sampled Rump Shaker, I know technically they sampled the same song

 

This reminds me of Caprisongs by FKA twigs. Flows vibe to vibe more than song to song. I’d like to hear this on a boat.

 

Honestly, I kinda love this. I'm not really turned off by the lack of a sprawling album, even the shorter full songs don't feel that short, and the interludey ones work really nicely with the tracks they are attached to. Really happy with this overall, gonna get a lot of play from me

 

This is super fun. Lipstick Lover had my hype level extremely low, but just about done a first listen I think that's easily my least favorite song here. Production across the board on this is awesome

 

Yea this kicks ass, I was also slightly worried when hearing about the length at first but it flows so nicely, the interludes are way better than most interludes on albums in general. Whole album is a serious mood.
