Your career can only go up if you start as the one of the best features on an Outkast album

 

I'm a little bit in awe of this album. I kept waiting for a track to break the unstoppable stretch that started with track 1, and I never really found one.

 

The flow on this album is impeccable. You can tell she spent a long time working out how to sequence these songs.

 

This immediately stood out to me. She definitely had a load of different track orders because if you throw the record on shuffle, a lot of the tracks work back to back. It’s really really well done

 

Is it possible to have every song from an album stuck in your head at the same time? Because I think that may have happened with this.

An alternative way to read this post is that I performed a Dirty Computer medley in the shower this morning.

 

This is currently in my top 3 of the year so far alongside Lucy Dacus and Arctic Monkeys.

This is for sure my favorite album this year so far.

(Followed by Kacey Musgraves and Kali Uchis, with Arctic Monkeys making a strong case to get on the list as well).

I only really liked Screwed off my first listen of the album. Maybe it's just not for me?

 

If I downloaded that without knowing, I would be so livid. Like mad enough to make me not want to listen to Janelle Monae anymore lol. Sooooo, I’ll be avoiding that

 

I'm dying from laughter right now. A true queen.

 

I'm barely beginning to scratch the surface of this album but I loved it upon first listen.

I showed up at the record store on release day looking for the vinyl. Seems weird that bigger releases don't get same day releases on vinyl. I don't buy music in any other format
