According to WSJ, an Amazon Studios exec’s description of Bond as “content” in an early meeting was like a “death knell” to Broccoli. She has since referred to the folks at Amazon as “fucking idiots” to friends and expressed deep concerns about the e-commerce company being the right fit for Bond.

I mean the Creed movies sure, not like spinoff streaming series on Amazon Prime about Mickey's boxing career in the 1930's or a limited series about the origins of Drago or something.

The more I think about it and the more time goes by since no time to die was released, maybe we just need the Bond franchise to end with Daniel Craig? It’s hard to imagine any new areas to explore with the character and honestly no time to die would be a fantastic way to be done. Unless they want to remake previous bond titles and modernize them. I’m kind of ok with it ending and not having the drama of who’s next every 10 years. It’s had a good run.

Jesus Christ people. Trying to make an honest assessment from someone who has watched James Bond movies for literally 25 years. And instead of a real conversation about the longevity of a franchise I get half hearted assumptions and made up trite bullshit. In no way am I saying James Bond can’t be as good as it’s been before so it should go away.

 

I simply said no and I’ve been watching bond for 35 years so I win.
