He played young adult King Charles in seasons 3 and 4 of The Crown and he was one of the dudes who hooks up with Zendaya in Challengers.
Once upon a time, Quentin Tarantino was angling to bring Brosnan back after Die Another Day to do a one off adaptation of Casino Royale, regrounding the series after *gestures vaguely* all that. Never got off the ground as we all know, but I do remember Brosnan was into the idea.
Josh O'Connor actually was central to one of my favorite episodes of The Crown. The one where college aged Charles goes to Wales to learn the Welsh language from an anti-monarchist Welsh Nationalist professor. He was great in that one.
Because the people running these studios are actually fucking idiots. And they get paid insane amounts of money to be that fucking stupid all of the time. Jimmy Bond coming to Prime in 2028. James Bond’s nephew in high school is actually a secret agent.
As I mentioned in the streaming thread these kind of expanded universe franchise spinoff shows are kind of losing stream already. James Bond isn't even a good franchise for that. The reason why it works in Marvel/DC/Star Wars/Star Trek is those franchises are so wide and expansive you could do any kind of genre of you want set within in them and it can still fit. You can't have that variety with something like James Bond.
Like this will materialise into like a show about Q and like a limited series about the origins of Dr. No or something and nobody will give a shit.
This all remind me of the pitch I heard once from that POS garbage hack Max Landis where his idea for a Bond film was create a status quo where James Bond is just a codename and all previous Bond films exist within the same canon. He would have had all the living Bond actors team up to fight a big bad. I think he wanted to called it 007: Legacy or some shit. Just lazy hack bullshit.
