Can't believe I am saying this but my local cinema is re-releasing all of the official Bond films for the series' 60th Anniversary, one film every Saturday from the 16th of April.
I hope my showing of Die Another Day has a fun audience that laughs at it because I know I will end up doing so.
Well, that is Dr. No seen at the cinema kicking off the next 20 plus weeks of rewatches and it was a real joy to see it on the big screen. The 4K restoration looks and sounds great even for the oldest in the series, no doubt as the films get bigger and the locales get varied up they will continue to look amazing.
Hopefully the entire series gets a 4K release so you can at least see them in that format but with Amazon buying MGM and the entire series already being on Prime I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't happen.
Just got back from seeing From Russia With Love, which is definitely now my favourite of the Connery era although still second to OHMSS from the films made in the sixties.
