He's I guess fine in a very specific kind of role, but watching him just do the same thing in Uncharted (bad) and Chaos Walking (really bad), gives me a pretty good idea of how he'd try and play Bond. And ... I hate it.
I think Dickinson would be a pretty good choice tbh. Haven’t seen Elordi in enough to judge. Hard pass on Holland. If I was running the search, Jack Lowden or Josh O’Connor would be at the top of my list.
I would just like to say I was 100% joking about Tom Holland being bond. I didn’t know Amazon would see my post and take it to heart
I like Tom Holland as Spider-Man, but I cannot in any way see him as James Bond. (Also, he already has his franchise, he doesn't need another.)
i don't pay attention to a ton of new actors nowadays, but Holland is definitely the wrong choice here

I got a chance to watch both Dune Movies for the first time. Really enjoyed them, but I was struggling to see how it would be a pretty intensely serious similar to the Craig era movies. I haven’t seen any of his other films. I am bummed Christopher Nolan isn’t getting a stab at the new chapter of movies. Still optimistic about the new movies and I’m sure it will be a spectacle. I’m very excited for the new game.
As much as I'd like to see a Nolan Bond, I don't want one of the only directors who can get literally anything made right now to devote time to another franchise. (Kind of feel that way about Denis as well, but to a lesser extent.)
"better" is the only metric I care about. it's an inherently fucked up and regressive property but you can at least produce good entertainments with it if you're not too busy trying to be profound. casino royale fucking whips and that was within my living memory. it was diminishing returns after that with craig bond. sam mendes......guilty of many crimes against the movies. denis is at least a competent stager of action who doesn't think he's above genre, even if 2/3 of his movies are 100% forgettable. tom holland would be funny for short king factor but honestly none of the ideas currently floating around seem particularly interesting
I'm more into his earlier movies for the most part. the Dunes are pretty but Zendaya and Timée don't work at all for me. *full disclosure: I was an extra in polytechnique but never actually watched it, I was actually against them making a mark lepine movie and thought the casting call was just stating the location not the actual title of the production. I only realized it when I got to the set (and I needed the dough lol)
