Thought it could be fun to have a thread for just general Bond discussion! I started burning through the movies since they’re generally very available streaming now.

So I’m halfway through, currently watching FYEO, and my god is Carol Bouquet the worst Bond girl by a mile.

 

Disagree, most Bond girls who are at least able to hold their own are infinitely better than the likes of Mary Goodnight or Tiffany Case who add nothing to either film that they are in.

 

She got better in the second half.

 

think these films are leaving hulu/prime after tonight, sorry

I found her to be consistent throughout but there definitely have been better characters than Havelock.

 

They don't seem to be leaving Hulu.

 

Also it says "Last day to watch is Monday" but they're still on there.

 

might be leaving hulu tonight still. can't get it on prime without paying

 

all the Brosnan films are on netflix, watched them all today haha

they get worse in their order of release. Goldeneye an all time classic, TND a very decent follow up, TWINE barely passable at times, and DAD is the worst Bond film ever made.

 

Diamonds are Forever is the most fun Bond film and most re-watchable.

 

i need to do a Connery re-watch - i think the only one I remember seeing multiple times is Goldfinger

i actually liked TWINE more than TND I think, but thinking about it now, TND was probably the better film.

Haha fair enough. I’m out here talking about how much I love a view to a kill so I can’t say shit. Just purchased the full collection from Best Buy! Honestly excited to watch some of these docs and listen to some commentaries after I finish this run through.

 

I honestly love all of them except maybe Die Another Day because it's just too stupid and absurd. I appreciate what each Bond brought to their films and how different the tone is from Bond to Bond.

I've only ever read Casino Royale but have a few others.
