Round 2 final score! Hammers & Strings (A Lullaby) - 8 Aemilia Jean - 0 Hammers & Strings (A Lullaby) wins the bracket! It is the best song according to you guys. Not sure if it’s my personal pick, but it’s a worthy champion. Thanks for playing!
Bummed I missed the last two rounds, but I would've voted for Hammers & Strings anyways. Thanks for running the bracket @Greg!
Anyone awake and can easily get me the mp3 for At Full Speed? I still haven't transferred all my music over from my old computer so haven't downloaded iTunes yet and I'm trying to make a video using the song.
Brian Ireland is playing songs with him tonight and I’m dying. He also just played No Man Is an Island.
Second night of the Coach House shows was probably my favorite of the two. He played Doris Day (with the original version of the chorus), Walking By, and Miss America, which just blew my mind. Never did I think I’d hear that song again. So worth the trip.
Hey guys after some expert opinions. Does Everything in Transit officially end after MFEO, or Into the Airwaves?
Into the Airwaves for me. For the 10th anniversary vinyl, Andrew had a whole extra disc of b-sides and outtakes, but still chose to put Airwaves at the end of the first LP with the rest of the official album. That settles it for me. It’s the epilogue.
Just gave this a much-needed Fourth of July spin. For me, it will always be the quintessential summer album.
MFEO is the closer to me, hence why he has the recording at the end of the song saying “that’s the album”. Into The Airwaves is like the song that plays over the credits. Chronologically it doesn’t fit in at the end of the story, but it sounds like an overall look at how he was feeling during the time the story is telling.
