But I've been listening to The Glass Passenger a lot lately. Still think it might be my favorite AM-related release. It's up there with EiT and North.

It's pretty damn great, but I just feel like he took a major step forward with The Glass Passenger.

 

That 3-album run from North through Glass Passenger is pretty much unimpeachable.

 

Just the other day I remembered what a jam "American Love" is.

"Drop Out (So Unknown)" is one of the most underrated songs in his catalogue IMO. I can't put TGP above EIT, though it's pretty much flawless so I don't want that to sound like a bad thing. EIT is just very special to me on a whole nother level

Hello, all! I’ve decided to run a Jack’s bracket in between some bigger ones that may be going on. There are a lot of great songs here and there will be some tough match ups.


For those who are new to the concept, these are randomly generated brackets (no seeding!) where we go from album to album and put the songs from an album against each other. We vote on each matchups until we have a winner for each albums. Those songs will then face off in a Champions bracket to decide the best overall Jack’s Mannequin song! We will do the 3 full lengths and then have a B-side round to give us a final 4 for the Champion round.

Rules:

1. Voting will take place over 10-24 hour period, depending on how close the matches are (if there's a wide margin too far to beat, the round may be run ruled to not waste time).

2. You must vote on every match in a round. If you don't your other votes don't count. Just reply to this thread with your choices. I will not vote unless there is a tie needed to be broken.

3. Feel free to discuss why you chose one song over the other and why you like that song. It's what keeps these fun!

4. I avoid byes into rounds if I can, but sometimes it's necessary. These are randomly generated; I do not pick them.

5. Once your votes are counted, signified by me 'liking' your post, there are no vote changes. Choose wisely before posting!

6. The King John Rule: Only participate if you've heard these songs. You are welcome to look them up and listen before hand, but if there's evidence you haven't heard them before or you'rejust voting to help/hurt a song your votes will not count.
