Honestly never really thought about favorites it's just such a perfect crew. But Pontius always says the best things to cap off the bits
I watched season 1 yesterday and then did part 3 and 4 last night... it's wild how much better they get at cutting the fat over the years. I found most of S1 to be fairly boring and the way they keep in all sketches, even the ones that don't work... also I loved how even in the early episode where Steve-O jumps into the elephant poop, him and Pontius start wrestling in it out of nowhere. Just seemed like they were born to do WIldboyz from the beginning.
I wrote about my favorite Jackass stunts and sketches in honor of the new movie coming out on Friday over at my Substack. Yeah, dude. My 15 Favorite Jackass Stunts and Sketches in Celebration of Nearly 25 Years of Depravity
Reviews are coming out and they're not great, which I usually wouldn't care, but it seems over half of the movie is previously seen footage which is a bummer. Sounds like it really is just a clip show with a few new bits was hoping for a more 25/25/50 split in terms of previously seen footage, unreleased footage and new stuff.
I've liked the clips I've seen where they talk about the past stunts and give a bit of insight, but I also haven't really dug into any of the DVD commentary or anything where they've already sort of done that stuff. I'm still pretty excited though. I kind of think they should have tempered expectations right out of the gate about this being a greatest hits sort of thing instead of letting Variety say that it was Jackass 5 and a "brand new movie".
