I would imagine the turnaround time can be pretty quick on these things especially if they have done all the prep work on what stunts and locations will be done in the next few months
OGs like Knoxville and Pontius hanging back and acting more like the peanut gallery and agents of chaos while the younger new cast does the gnarlier stunts is a good move at this stage
It might seem like they can film quickly but you are betting against a major industry derailing things.
If the new movie is mostly archive footage with a bit of new footage I hope it's not a cash grab... this still feels kinda weird to me but I'm obviously more than willing to check out whatever they put out Maybe some kind of farewell/final celebration type thing?
Even if it is mostly previously seen footage, it’s worth it to watch it with other idiots in the theater. I will gladly see the soup spill again and again.
Bam was interviewed by TMZ and he said he was told it's all archive footage and unseen material. Said he will not return for anything new still. Kind of bummed and hope it's just not material from all the .5's put into a new movie.
rewatched forever the other night and still believe Poopies and Zach are the best things to happen to the crew in a long time
Knoxville on Kimmel was asked if the entire gang is coming back and said "yeah, we've got everyone coming back." but didn't explicitly say anything about Bam...also said shooting starts in February.
Jackass 2 started shooting in January, and came out in September. So 9 months of filming/editing. This will be roughly 5 months filming/editing. Also, they're all old and probably aren't just going hard the whole time like they used to. I'm assuming a pretty big chunk of the movie is going to be old footage
For what it's worth, Knoxville has said that Jackass Number 2 was an anomaly of the bunch. He said it usually it takes 4 or 5 months, but they just kept shooting for that movie until everyone finally told him "Okay, dude, we have to stop... we already have too much footage." I think even Jackass Forever only took 3-4 months to film, not counting the two weeks they spent shooting before they got shut down by COVID.
I guess once we start hearing reports about injuries and hospital stays from the crew we will know they are deep into production
Just did 1 and 2 with the fam.. barring all dick scenes. Omg hearing the kids laugh like that brought it all back. Pure joy!
