I'm still a little confused on this tbh. Could definitely be a new movie, but all of these outlets "confirming" Jackass 5 aren't really saying anything other than "Johnny Knoxville confirmed it via Instagram" which he did not. None of these articles are really citing any other source than that. It would also be weird to me if Paramount let all of these outlets have insider information to announce Jackass 5 but Knoxville only posts an ambiguous statement while saying "wanted you to hear it from us first!" It wouldn't be impossible but adding in the fact that apparently no one had any clue they were even filming and now it's going to be out in six months... makes me skeptical.
Hollywood trades (Variety, Deadline, Hollywood Reporter, etc) have contacts and sources within studios. Nothing is really “announced” until one of these trades reports on it and they have vetted it. No one believed the Tarantino/Fincher movie was real until the trades posted about it.

Bam Margera Will Return for New 'Jackass' Movie Actual new info! Sounds like this movie is a combination of old stuff, never-before-seen stuff and brand new stuff. With, at the very least, some of Bam's older stuff being cleared for the movie (title is a bit click-baity).
I'm assuming their including the stuff Bam shot for the last movie before he got fired fuck I'm pumped. This is my Avengers
Jess Margera is the latest guest on Steve-O's pod and Steve-O said "We're talking about a new JACKASS project and if it is going to happen, it's going to happen very quickly...I would love Bam to come back for it but we know how many stars need to align for that to happen." Paraphrasing obviously and this was obviously recorded before the announcement from Knoxville. Also sounds like Bam hasn't spoken to his brother in quite some time but just the other day posted a photo with April and Phil for the first time in forever. Jess and Steve-O also said they can tell he's sober because of how good he's been skating again..which is true.
I can't imagine Knoxville and Tremaine being able to set aside death threats and restraining orders, but I'm wishing the best for all parties
