I'm starting to think Top Gun Maverick was never actually filmed and will be delayed until the end of time
ughhh that sucks. I just finished the series last night and am about to jump into the movies on my re-watch. I guess I have more time now....
So one thing that I realized when re-watching the series was really remembering how HUGE the show was at the time. The finale has Brad fuckin Pitt in it, where they stage a fake kidnapping of him (pretty hilarious) as well as Shaq, with the whole crew filming a music video with him (and not only does Wee Man pick up Shaq on his back, but Shaq consistently is humping him hah). But that really shows the level that the show got to. Also, I think in Season 2 they see Puff Daddy and go to mess with him, but he knows who they are and he loves it and does the "my name is Johnny Knoxville" intro for the episode.
I think out of all the major Hollywood studios, Paramount is the one that has the most to lose. If Mission Impossible, Top Gun & even Jackass don't knock it out of the park for them, they're dead. The Snake Eyes fiasco really scared them off the rest of this year
I didn’t even realize Snake Eyes came out. Didn’t plan on watching it, but I still thought it hadn’t been released yet.
Well then, maybe they shouldn’t have launched a streaming service and Blu Ray imprint no one asked for
Also, Hollywood in general is gonna have to accept that making bank at the box office just isn’t in the cards right now and that the pandemic has scared off many people from going to the movies, so they’re gonna have to figure out some strategies to compensate because they can’t just keep pushing movies back forever.
I’m sure the budgets on some movies are going to drastically drop soon. Internal auditing probably going wild behind the scenes.
in theory jackass should do just fine as a streaming release. It’s the stuff like Dune that people demand a big screen for
Jackass doesn't require a big screen, but personally I want to be able to see it with a crowd and I'm sure others do too. It's the closest movie experience to something like watching stand up at home versus seeing it performed live.
Lol that's one of my favorite tricks. I don't think I could ever watch a full movie with him, but knowing my dad would love Jackass (but never watch it by himself), I usually throw some Knoxville nut shots on YouTube or something and it makes me smile seeing him laugh
