Yeah, at this point I don’t even know what to think. Seems Bam has been an issue for a decade at least, and he doesn’t seem to give a shit about anyone but himself
Man, it’s just so heartbreaking to watch Bam spiral like this. I can’t imagine how heartbroken the Jackass dudes and his family have to be right now watching him go through this, it’s tragic.
Like Jeff is such a good person, he doesn’t deserve that one fucking bit. I remember watching the documentary about him getting sober and I remember one part where he’s just completely fucked up and Johnny sat there completely devastated watching him. He’s come so far since then and it’s amazing to see how good he’s doing now.
The Bam stuff is really hard to hear about, all these guys feel like friends to me so it hurts to watch things go down like this I thought to liven things up we could share what we think is the funniest stunt/sketch and the hardest one to watch. For me, the funniest is the Valentine note from Jackass Two. It’s such a perfect set-up, the text is hilarious and watching Bam laugh as he leads the other dude’s to their demise kills me. Also we’ve got mastermind Johnny in his captain hat. The hardest to watch is paper cuts from the first movie. I wriggle around just thinking about it or describing it to people. I just tried to watch it in YouTube and had to dip out after twenty seconds. I’ll stick with it when I rewatch all the movies before number 4 but oof
I can't watch the papercut scene anymore lol. I'm not really into the gross-out humor, the stunts/pranks are funnier
The only two stunts I always skip through are the paper cuts and the one from 2 where Steve-O is human bait My favorite stunt is the High Five. I love the simplicity and it's executed so well
Haha this one is up there for me too. That shot of Bam getting nailed is so perfect. And the way they all run out and laugh in the victim’s faces, lmao HE FELL FOR THE SOUP
I rewatched the movies last weekend and in terms of concept and execution both being transcendently simple, like live action Looney Tunes, the one where Dunn and a couple other guys are in a limo thinking they’re going to a photo shoot, then the other guys stop the limo, lock the doors, and fill it with bees, then spread marbles outside the doors and open the doors, is a masterpiece. In terms of stupidly simple I love when Knoxville straps himself to a rocket like Wile E. Coyote and gets launched into the air over a lake.
I agree that I no longer watch paper cuts and hook cheek. One of my favorites is Steve-O butt-chugging a beer, simply for the amount that comes back out when they plunge his anus.
The knoxville/rocket skates bit is still one of my favorites of all time. The entire set up is perfect. It's dark, the distance he is from the camera, the sound of the rockets, the smoke, his groans after he falls. It's so simple, yet so effective.
I liked the riot gear test that absolutely fucks bam and Dunn up with metal balls and Knoxville is just laughing. Asks if his face is okay “then we’re good”
Hmmm. Standouts are the Teeter totter with the bulls, the invisible man with the bulls, Knoxville on a rocket, the high five, Dave England on a firehose. So many more.
Distinctly remember being in the theater opening weekend for Jackass number two and laughing so hard during the teeter totter with the bulls scene I almost threw up.
Knoxville just fucking kills me in general, I love the part in 2 (I think) where he's gonna ride the rocket and it explodes, which very possibly could have killed him, and he just cracks up
