this reminded me that Blunderbuss is a goodass album. was obsessed with it when it came out but haven't listened in years
Lazaretto has a handful of really good tunes, I can't speak to the other stuff since I haven't heard it yet
Oh shit this is like 450 people, hope I can score a ticket — apparently he played at 930 club last night and black cat on Monday, damn
Finally grabbed this on vinyl and it really is fantastic top to bottom. I'd be so bold to say it's perhaps a top 3 record in his entire discography... maybe with Elephant & White Blood Cells ahead of it? Damn that's a tough 3 to pick, ha. Between this and the way he's been doing these no bullshit pop-up tiny shows in various cities (one of which I was lucky enough to go to) just adds to the whole vibe of this release. Dude is in fine form right now.
I just relistened this on the bus yesterday. Archbishop, Tonight and the last 3 songs are just unreal
I have a friend that saw him in Pittsburgh and I’m so jealous I haven’t been able to speak to him about his presumably amazing experience
Lucked out and caught him in ATL for one of the first shows before the album officially came out even and it was incredible. An all time concert experience to see him in a venue that small and they tore the place down.
the Minneapolis show is being streamed by the local public radio station on saturday Exclusive broadcast: Jack White recorded live at First Avenue
