I've only watched the first episode..

...and, I am kind of irritated. As a Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan fan growing up as a kid/teen, and still holding memories of him being a hero of defecting Communists and defeating extremists, I am irritated. I am not sure if its due to maturation and/or having different political views as past T.J., but I am not mad at the antagonist. Yet, anyways. I feel empathy for the damn kids that got blown up. Which may have been the point of the writers. I knew this story line is going to be vastly different than the novels I've read, but the feelings I have towards the conflicts in the Middle East is hard to brush off. I just hope this isn't a right winged story, I guess.

Okay, on to ep. 2.

 

This was fine. It got better as the season progressed.

I think I watched it too soon after a seven season binge of Homeland. It’s less gritty, a little more Hollywood than that so it didn’t give me the same feelings.

 

Watch Bodyguard.

I finished it within 2 days if its release

 

This was entertaining but not great. I’ll watch season 2.

Really enjoyed the first season. Excited for more.

 

Trailer does nothing for me. Loved the first season...

 

Lmao this show is straight up propaganda. Everyone involved should be embarrassed

 

The story was very silly. But it was well acted and is just good dumb fun.

if you want something with more purity to it watch Bodyguard.

 

The story is so so bad. Wtf was that last episode.

 

I felt that way about the first season but this new season is just awful.

 

yeah there are too many logical gymnastics you need to do for what is presented as a “semi” realistic political thriller. Hopefully they get it together next season. The cash and production is quite good.

 

I like when the car wouldn't start, then it gets riddled with bullets, they do nothing to fix the car but they get in and drive away no problem

 

And US operatives raiding and killing tons of national guards, military, etc with absolutely no issues at all.

 

Yeah storming the Venezuelan President's home and killing numerous people and then Jack is just back in America no biggie.

 

But don't kill Reyes! That's crossing the line.

 

I'm behind on so many shows already. I might just pass on S2.

 

It can wait. Unless your dying for a political thriller, this can easily be something to sift through when current shows are dry.

 

I know they filmed in Bogota as a stand-in for Caracas, but no way does Caracas look that clean/functional than it does in the series, haha.

 

Wonder what Amazon budgeted for season 2; must be pretty high

 

Problems aside season 2 is still a lot better than the new Michael B Jordan / Clancy movie. His performance was good but maaaan was it boring. It seems unlikely but it would be cool if he showed up in this.
