Jack’s Mannequin are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a tour. Andrew talked with Rolling Stone about the announcement:

I’ll be honest, I’m anxious about it. My therapist will be on call for this round. With Jack’s Mannequin it was so story-driven. Since it was mine exclusively from a writing standpoint, it became this vehicle to really latch my journey to my writing and be able to author those things through these three records. I never expected that Jack’s was going to be a three-record project, I think we just got so caught in the swirl of everything that was happening around the project.

Those three records, that period of life, everything is so attached and bound together. Stepping back into that will be a workout, emotionally and physically. I’m excited to be able to tell that story onstage every night. We’re going to learn all of these songs and try and keep the set really alive and unique from show to show so that people who are fans of the band get a taste of everything. As we get deeper into rehearsals, we’re going to try and get a lot of the B-sides learned as well. Obviously, we know it’s the 20-year anniversary of Transit, so there’ll be a lot of Transit in there, but we’re going to have a whole lot of time to really dig in.

Jack’s Mannequin is back. The acclaimed alternative pop rock group, led by veteran indie-pop singer-songwriter-pianist Andrew McMahon, has announced The MFEO Tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The 24-date North American headlining tour, with special guests to be announced, will officially launch on June 4th in Portland, Maine and travel throughout the month stopping in Boston, New York City (June 7th at The Rooftop at Pier 17), Philadelphia, Charlotte, Richmond, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago and St. Paul. Following their debut performance at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 23rd for McMahon’s sold-out Three Pianos event and headlining shows in Japan in September, The MFEO Tour will resume October 11that The Wiltern in Los Angeles and make its way to St. Petersburg, Orlando, Atlanta, Columbus, Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit (for the 16th Annual Dear Jack Benefit on November 11th at The Fillmore), Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, and Anaheim before wrapping November 23rd in Del Mar, California. In addition, Jack’s Mannequin will be performing at select festivals in 2025 including Bonnaroo, When We Were Young, Innings Festival, and SXSW, with the latter’s details to be announced soon. Camp Wilderness fan club presale begins Tuesday, January 28th at 10am local time with artist, local and Spotify presales available Wednesday, January 29th and Thursday, January 30th starting at 10am local time daily. The public on-sale will commence Friday, January 31st at 10am local time. $1 per ticket for The MFEO Tour will be donated to the Dear Jack Foundation. See below for full list of upcoming tour dates and visit https://andrewmcmahon.com/pages/tour-dates for more information, to purchase tickets, and to sign up for a chance at getting tickets to the artist presale. Jack’s Mannequin wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy The MFEO Tour tickets at face value. To make this possible they have chosen to use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show and can't attend, they'll have the option to resell them to other fans on Ticketmaster at the original price paid. To ensure Face Value Exchange works as intended, Jack’s Mannequin has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. New York, Illinois, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, and Utah have passed state laws requiring unlimited ticket resale and limiting artists’ ability to determine how their tickets are resold. To adhere to local law, tickets in these states will not be restricted from transfer but the band encourages fans to use the Face Value Exchange.

“Jack’s Mannequin was born out of one of the most prolific and transformative periods of my life,” shares frontman Andrew McMahon. “The songs narrate my journey from youth to adulthood, heartbreak to marriage, cancer to remission. The health crisis at the heart of this journey often made it difficult for me to fully appreciate just how magical this music was and how powerfully it connected me to my bandmates and the audiences we played it for. It’s been nearly fifteen years since the band and I have toured this catalog exclusively and it feels like such a gift to do so at a time in my life when I feel able to truly celebrate what we created together. Jack’s was always two things: a studio project and a live band that toured relentlessly. I’m so excited to bring it all back to life onstage for the fans that made it possible to take that strange and beautiful ride.”

To celebrate the tour announcement, Jack’s Mannequin will be performing an intimate surprise show tonight (January 27th) at The Venice West in Venice, California. Fan club presale tickets are available now with the public on-sale beginning today at 10am Pacific Time. Jack’s Mannequin has teamed up with Propeller to raise money for PLUS1’s LA Fires Fund, offering exclusive prizes to all in attendance tonight who donate.

Jack’s Mannequin launched in 2005 as McMahon’s more personal solo project following the success of his pop-punk band Something Corporate in the early 2000s. The beloved quartet – McMahon (vocals, piano), Bobby “Raw” Anderson(guitar), Jay McMillan (drums) and Mikey Wagner (bass, keys) – debuted with their Gold-certified album, Everything In Transit, which includes the Gold-certified single “Dark Blue.” Jack’s Mannequin released a total of three acclaimed studio albums, with both their sophomore LP The Glass Passenger (2008) and third and final album People and Things (2011) entering the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. During its tenure, Jack’s Mannequin also performed multiple times on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, received major media support, and were featured in the hit TV series One Tree Hill. Throughout the recording and release of Everything In Transit, McMahon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of 22. After making a full recovery following a stem cell transplant from his sister, Andrew founded the Dear Jack Foundation in 2006, a nonprofit which provides impactful programming that directly benefits adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer in order to improve quality of life and create positive health outcomes from treatment to survivorship for patients and their families. Though Jack’s Mannequin officially went on hiatus in 2012, leading to McMahon launching his current moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness in 2014, the highly adored SoCal band has reunited on a handful of special occasions over the years. To celebrate their 20th anniversary milestone, Jack’s Mannequin is returning to the road this year to bring their celebrated catalog and live show back to the masses.

John // OC now, OH forever.

MFEO was the code for the surprise show, guessing it might be the one for the others too.

The presale code for Wed looks to be OCTAVE. Wonder how quickly these will sell out.

Nice, thanks. I would think pretty fast, I believe it's similar venues to the Soco tour and probably 90 percent same people going haha

I doubt Caves will make the setlist. I just don't see Andrew doing both MFEO and Caves, that sucks up too my time. I could see Caves making the setlist though for Three Pianos given that it will be story focused.

No problem. The venue is actually the same as the SoCo date for Detroit haha. We’re fortunate enough to get the Dear Jack Benefit show I have to get tickets.

I actually don't know if you are in the minority. I would argue and I think most would agree, Transit, is his masterpiece.

I would love to see him for the first time, especially if he's playing the bangers on Transit every night. That sounds like it could be a really fun set!

Both are great, but I have to give the edge to SoCo.
