I feel like maybe it's just me, but his voice and I guess just his style, doesn't stand out to me as something I can recognize. I've listened to all his albums multiple times, but in a blind test I wouldn't be able to pick him out of a lineup. Most artists I love, I could recognize their voice anywhere.... J. Cole, I dunno, I honestly don't even know what his voice sounds like for the most part
I’m still bummed he gave up writing “radio songs” or whatever he called them, I thought Crooked Smile and Power Trip were amazing and still some of his best songs.
