Haven't heard the record yet but the Adz/22,AM comparisons make sense off the singles. Really excited to check it later today. AG has the claim to artist of the year imo.
Surprised people aren't feeling this. Some of it drags a little, but overall, I think it's pretty awesome.
Jonsi created the score for a Tom Clancey movie, definitely not what I expected his next move to be hah
I'm a few tracks into this soundtrack and a bit bummed that it feels very... generic action score, for a lack of better term. Granted, I am sure it's exactly what the movie needed, but I was hoping for at least a touch of Jonsi's unique sound. I don't know if I'll end up listening to the whole thing, but overall not all that into it
Since it coincides with his art installation, I'm guessing this will be more of an ambient record. He worked on Shiver for like 10 years so I doubt he would have popped out a new album of songs a year later but who knows.
I can't remember this album aside from the Liz Fraser collab. I'll go back and listen at some point this weekend.
Still surprised this got lukewarm reviews, I said it before but it feels like Jonsi's version of a 22, A Million / Age of Adz type album
I vaguely remember feeling like it had a How to Dress Well (Anteroom era) vibe to it. It was good, I think. But I don't remember much else about it like @JM95 says.
