All these episodes will play just fine in future re-watches. I'll enjoy almost all of them when they come up on shuffle.
That episode was pretty good. Like I posted last week, I'm glad they actually showed a clip during the credits of the gang at the Superbowl in real life. That was a nice touch at the end. Unrelated to the quality, I feel like you can tell the production of this season was a little rushed compared to previous seasons. Of course, I'm just speculating, but it's almost like they wanted to knock out the filming as quickly as possible to comply with the cast's schedules. Glen didn't appear in (almost) four episodes, three episodes are contained almost solely to the bar (with one of them literally being a clip show), and the escape room episode was almost completely filmed in one of the apartments. Just an observation. I've still enjoyed the shit out of this season though so I don't think it hurt them too much.
I don't think this season was really any worse than the last few seasons. I haven't outright hated any episodes like I did with Frank's Brother or Cricket's Tale either. It had two or three that I absolutely loved, too. This isn't exactly the show in its prime but I'd be hard pressed to say that it's not good anymore.
Yeah I can definitely understand why some people would think those two seasons are worse. I guess for me, there are so many more instant classics out of those seasons, though. The season with Frank's Brother also has The Storm of the Century, Chardee MacDennis, The Gang Gets Trapped, and the highschool reunion two-parter. The season with Cricket's Tale has the Old Lady House sitcom episode, the Wolf Cola PR nightmare, Making Dennis a Murderer, and Hero or Hate Crime. I will admit I wasn't huge on Season 12 either but some of those are just so fantastic. I feel like Times Up and Charlie's Home Alone were the only ones that truly had me laughing hysterically
I’ve basically felt the same about the last three or four seasons: still a lot of great episodes/classics but with a few more “meh” episodes than in past seasons. This season has more of the “just okay” episodes than the past few, but I still wouldn’t call it bad by any stretch. I fuckin loved “Times Up” and “New Wheels”.
Maybe it’s because I’m sick so my brain is barely working, but to me it seemed like there was very little nonsense or insanity and there weren’t very many jokes. Like for such an important episode I was expecting more. I’ll definitely rewatch it soon and see what happens.
I wish during the montage of people celebrating the win at the end they showed Dennis watching on TV at his house in North Dakota
finale snuck up quick. Season has been pretty lackluster with exception of the super bowl two parter and Dennis gets new wheels. would have honestly rather had seen the mick season 3.
Time's Up through Charlie's Home Alone were all great (and Time's Up, New Wheels, and Bathroom Crisis are some top tier Sunny episodes IMO). The escape room episode was pretty good too. I don't think it's a coincidence that the weakest episodes were the ones without Dennis.
But Charlie's Home Alone didn't have Dennis lol But still, I know what you mean. Though the clip show episode was preeetty forgettable (I guess that's the nature of clip shows)
I guess that one didn't bother me because that one wasn't meant to have a group dynamic to it other than the very beginning.
