That scene is definitely top-tier Sunny, but the part with Gail the Snail in her kitchen is also classic. "Did you kick in my door?" "Kick, yes. Kick in, no. THAT door is solid which is the good news. The bad news is the window is not."
Thanks for the advice, I've watched the show at friend's houses and loved it and might start a sizeable binge soon
The first episode I saw was the one where they try out for the eagles, and the Trash Man episode killed me
I think my first episode was the one where Dee convinces the gang that one of them was the father of her child
My first episode was Dennis Gets Divorced. I'm surprised I even kept watching the rest of the show haha
Haha honestly, after my first episode or two, I thought the show was just too weird for me, and then I picked it up 6 years later and love it.
This was me. I was only like 12 at the time and watched the whole first season I believe, and didn’t really get it. Got into it on Netflix like 6 or 7 years later and never looked back, except to think about how different my perception of the show was then. The humor seemed so bizarre to me initially, I didn’t know what to make of it.
I believe this was me as well. I remember always seeing clips/commercials on FX and thinking the humor was really weird, so I tried watching an episode ("The Gang Exploits a Miracle"). I thought it was pretty funny but I didn't really stick with it. Oddly enough, my friends were talking about the different types of humor in shows they really like so I recommended Always Sunny because it seemed like it was right up their alley. They came back to me a couple of months later saying how they watched like four seasons of it and absolutely loved it and thanked me for the recommendation (which I thought was hilarious because I had only seen one episode). We ended up putting on "The Gang Gets Whacked" and I was hooked from that moment forward.
My experience was very similar to this. 1st season didn't "take" for me, came back to it in season 2 and really got into it immediately. I believe there was another show called "Testees" about a couple of morons that do dangerous experiments for money that debuted the same day as Sunny, and I remember liking it more, at the time.
I watched it every now and then when it was first on but I never really liked it. Someone on a forum I was on all the time posted the Pepe Silvia clip soon after it aired and convinced me to watch that, and I almost wet myself. Ever since then I've watched it as it airs.
Feels like an eternity ago that I started watching this, yet the show was probably on like season 3 or 4 already.
Found out about the show right before season 9 I think, and I watched it from the beginning. I might have seen an episode randomly at a friend's place or something but I cannot remember
I started after season three had aired and binge watched it on demand just prior to S4. So the pilot was my first episode.
I love when people binge the whole thing and have been oblivious to the show in general. My girlfriend started watching because of me and asked how many seasons it would take to get caught up before the new one aired... “Fucking TWELVE?!”
